FEED BIN AND CONCESSIONS

THE FEED BIN AND FOOD CONCESSIONS
At the James Valley Threshing Show

Everyone gathers to enjoy the good food that our cooks and vendors prepare for the visitors. The Feed Bin and food concessions are always popular spots at the James Valley Threshing Show.

In the early morning hours, our famous Threshermen’s Breakfast is served in the Feed Bin from 7:00 am to 9:00 am or later, until the food runs out. The Groton Lions Club serves breakfast on Saturday during the Show, and the Groton Chamber of Commerce serves on Sunday morning.

The James Valley Threshing ladies serve the Threshermen’s Breakfast on Friday morning , and then turn around to prepare for lunch. On Saturday the Lazy Farmers 4H Club serves their famous ham dinner at noon, and on Sunday the Bristol Youth Group does the cooking and serving. On Saturday the Groton FHA with the Groton Kiwanis keep hungry show-goers well fed with a pork loin supper.

Not only is the food plentiful and delicious, the meals enable these groups to raise money to support their charitable ventures.

The Feed Bin was previously a grain holding building. It was donated by Carl and Julaine Johnson of Holmquist, and in 2003 an addition was completed to provide more seating room. It comfortably seats 150, but has seated more than 180 during one sitting.

We have a lot of great memories of serving over the years, and have made a lot of great friends. We hope you can join us at the James Valley Threshing Show. We have a great time and know that you will too.
